Squash, Acorn

A fall squash favorite from Mt. Pleasant Acres! Acorn squash is so named for its acorn shape. It's versatile enough for sweet or savory dishes. Try cutting it in half, stuffing it with grains, vegetables and sausage, and roasting it! Slice and sauté acorn squash as a salad topping. Roast and purée it into a soup. 

Properly stored, acorn squash can keep for several months. Do not refrigerate! Let it sit on your countertop or in your pantry.
